The story
I live today believing that tomorrow holds all the hope in the world.
I started my journey to millionaire status at the age of eight, with candy bought in bulk and sold to the other students at school. I was making five to ten dollars a day, and everything that followed was built on step-by-step upward effort.
As a young man I worked three jobs, ran a small business, went to school and even played sports. I flipped hamburgers, mowed yards and sold nearly everything as I moved toward my first million-dollar goal.
This seems impossible to some, but every successful person has done whatever it takes to move from their humble beginnings to the next better phase of life.
Of the millionaires I have met, they are always the kind of people who work hard, manage their time, and never let problems become an excuse for failing. We all have moments that feel like failure — but if you stop, you will be a failure. If you keep pushing, success will come.
Age 8
Candy bought in bulk, sold at school. Five to ten dollars a day.
Young man
Three jobs, a small business, school and sport at the same time.
First million
Reached by step-by-step upward effort, not by a single event.
Since
Advising owners, building teams and teaching what was paid for in full.
Four convictions
Reject negativity and worry
Poverty, divorce, loss, unfair competition, illness, millions stolen, betrayal by friends. The problems of today will soon become history past.
Do whatever it takes
Every successful person has done whatever it takes to move from humble beginnings to the next better phase of life. It seems impossible to some. It is simply the price.
Never let problems become excuses
We all have moments that feel like failure. If you stop, you will be a failure. If you keep pushing, success will come.
Give while it still costs you
Wealth without generosity turns inward. The portion you release is the only part of it guaranteed to outlive you.
